Hello lovely Buzznet people!

I've decided to post a Journal to pleed for an extension for my video editing project :P

The questions have been asked, and the answers have been given...unfortunatly there's a whole lotta crud that's happened meaning the extreme delay in the making of this video.

Firstly, I almost finished editing the video with this program called "pinicle-videospin" ...and then the 14 day trial ran out. So, i decided i may aswell take the plunge, and register what i thought i needed for the program to work again...forking out a huge $10. Boy was i excited. It took 3 or 4 days for them to get back to me with a registration key for the mpeg decoding/encoding (jargon converting files), I put the key in..and what do u know, i can see my video...but wait, whats missing? Oh right, i need to purchase the audio codecs...for a further $10. Now, that seemed a bit sneaky to me  - tell me i need this one thing, and then suddenly another unexpected charge pops up. So i decided to be sneaky and try to download a cracked version of the same program....BIG MISTAKE...yay, Virus central. :(

Moral...dont be sneaky.

Ok, and now you ask...where is it now? Well after all that mess I downloaded an antivirus thing (yes i paid for it) and my computer is back up and running sweet as...although i have to start the editing from the start. Here's the clincher. The new legit program i have doesnt recognise the type of file format created by the video camera. Haha. awesome ay?

So....Im working on getting something that can convert MOD files into an mpeg or an avi. It seems we may have lost the original CD that came with the camera (o_o).


So in summary, can i please have an extension on my work?? My dog ate it. :)

Progress? Whats that? I've download numerous file converters, and nothing seems to want to work...stoopid MOD file format! It has been discovered however though, that the software that come with the comera is capable of doing this file converting business...problem here is we dont have a copy of the CD anymore (dont blame me, it's not my camera). So....this weekend I'm gonna head to the shop the camera was bought, and see if they can hook me up with a copy of the software!

Yes....the video is finally finished! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Now all i have to do is upload it...which i will be doing tonight, so the wait is almost over! :D

Haha, awesome, so I uploaded the video - I had to leave my computer on all night to do it though...and i checked it from work...and there's no picture.... :O thats weird.
